8 Franchises We Want To See A Lego Game Adaptation Of

5. Doctor Who

Doctor Who hasn’t exactly been on stellar form in recent years, with viewing figures dropping perilously close to an all-time low after spiking for Jodie Whittaker’s debut. It nevertheless remains one of the most iconic franchises in popular culture, incredibly well represented at conventions and in merchandise aisles alike.

Shockingly, there has never been a high-profile Doctor Who video game, with universally panned titles Return To Earth and Eternity Clock, both of which made use of Matt Smith, quickly drifting into obscurity upon release. The character’s adventures seem perfectly suited to the adventure genre, which would allow exploration, action and puzzles, but no developer has ever been willing to take a chance on them. Traveller’s Tales should be the one to do so in Lego form.

A game would probably have to focus on some of the Doctor’s ‘greatest hits’, given that he/she has starred in hundreds of stories over the last fifty-eight years on television alone. Choosing a couple to represent each Doctor would be easier for some than others given the varied tenures of each actor in the role, but a mixture that would allow them and their companions to go up against the likes of The Master, Davros, the Daleks, Cybermen and the other weird and wonderful creations that have come a long way since they were predominantly crafted using aluminium kitchen foil would be a delight to behold.
