8 Greatest Video Game DLCS Of All Time

7. Diablo 2: Lord Of Destruction

If I could go back in time and speak to my younger self, I wouldn't give the little freak any useful information, I wouldn't warn him of the upcoming years of strife he had coming his way, instead what I'd do is slap the bloody textbooks out of his hand and make him play more Diablo 2 because that game, at the time of its release especially was something else.

And its expansion, which can now be downloaded as DLC so still counts for this list, is utterly fantastic. You want a greater challenge? Boom there you go. You want a tonne of balancing that makes the game fairer without so much of a gloopy midgame? Here you go, you're welcome. Do you want not one, not three, but TWO new classes both of which are extremely fun to play? Yes, I know, its the gift that keeps on giving.

Adding in a tonne of new lore and finally letting you take on Baal himself would have been enough for this expansion to justify a purchase, but the sheer love and effort that went into quality of life improvements was exceptional. Side by side it's clear how much work was done to this, and reminds you of a time when Blizzard really did care about the playerbase.
