8 Incredibly Dark Video Game Secrets You Wish You Never Found
5. P.T Lives On - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
One of the scariest experiences in recent memory was the short but blissfully well-crafted time we had with P.T aka the Playable Teaser for Konami and Hideo Kojima's Silent Hills project. While that game might be fading into the nether for many, the scares and horrific images that it left us with will permeate possibly forever.
And things certainly aren't helped when Kojima decided to reference his horror haunt jaunt in his equally impressive Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain title, as the player can sometimes stumble across some radios that speak of something so horrible they will end up wishing they'd never heard them at all.
Scattered throughout the monstrous open world, you might occasionally hear the radios usual blare of up-tempo music however in Mission 20, as you're sneaking your way through a military base, you might hear a rather haunting and familiar sound.
In a tent located within the base is a radio detailing a murder, and for fans of P.T they'll know this to be the exact same news report that you can find within the demo.
The fact that this isn't the only PT reference in Phantom Pain makes it seem that Kojima wanted to connect these worlds somewhat, which while being possibly the greatest collaboration ever, sure is a terrifying prospect.
