Smash Bros is a high octane thrill ride filled with quick combat, fast pacing and a luscious visual style full of character. But, those exact same words could be used to describe the 2020 dungeon crawler hit Hades. Thanks to this easy comparison, the lead character Zagreus could slide into the Nintendo title like foul souls into The Underworld.

Hades found a tonne of success on the Nintendo E-Store, so it's easy to believe that they think very highly of it. Although it's only been about for a year, it's built up a huge following and plenty of critical acclaim, so bringing the protagonist into Smash would only be well received.

Regarding his fighting style, it's hard to think that the speedy hack and slash action of Zagreus would be a poor fit. He'd tear through his opponents with some epic sword slashes, and his dash ability would give him plenty of advantages in the line-up.

For players who love a bit of sword-wielding and a slightly more mature design, he'd be an instant favourite.
