8 Insanely Different Versions Of The SAME Video Game
4. The Adventures Of Batman & Robin
When it comes to the Batman franchise, there are so many good games to pick from. The Arkham games are pure bliss, The Lego Batman titles are a hoot, and even the VR title impressed fans with it's attention to detail. Yet there's actually one title in the bunch that is actually two great titles and that's The Adventures Of Batman And Robin.
The core experience varies widly depending on whether you got this for the Genesis or the SNES, as with SEGA you get a game that looks and plays an awful lot like Contra, which is by no means a bad thing, and for the SNES you get a stylised love letter to the animated series with outstanding graphics and side scrolling beat 'em up goodness as your bread and butter.
It's one of the few examples where owning both titles is reccomended as each offer something truly worth playing. The bullet hell sweat-a-thon of the Genesis version is tight and tense in all the right places, and the visual glory and satisfying THWONK of the SNES counterpart is a joy to play through. You can't go wrong with either option really.
