8 Most Confusing Video Game Endings Nobody Understands

1. The Town With No Name

The storytelling conventions of The Town With No Name are like nothing else I've ever witnessed in a video game. Ever. I know that this is a comedy title and shouldn't be taken seriously, but my lord I challenge you to find anyone who understands what is going on here.

Things seem simple enough with "The Man With No Name" getting off the train and beginning a wild west infused romp of gun slinging and whisky slugging, but things go off the deep end if you simply decide to board the train again before you do any of the main quest.

In this instance, a young boy runs up to The Man With No Name and says "Come back, Shane!" to which your character proceeds TO SHOOT THE CHILD IN THE HEAD, before informing him that "My name's not Shane, kid".

That's not all, because the train then flies off into outer space and disappears. I am not joking; I had to check to see if I'd accidentally ingested some expired medication after this sequence, but no, that is seriously how you can end the game. The title is strange enough to begin with. This just takes it someplace else.
