8 Overpowered Weapons Hidden In Horror Video Games

7. Enchanted Gladius - Eternal Darkness

Now if we're being honest, the enchanted Gladius isn't exactly the type of secret I would urge you to find, as while it is exceptionally powerful, all glowing in runic magic with a ranged bonus to boot, there's just one teeny, tiny problem.

See, you only have about five or so enemies to use the thing on by the time you acquire it, seeing as you unlock the Gladius right at the end of the game.

This puts it on the same pedestal as Excalibur II from Final Fantasy 9, firmly in the realm of "weapons that are so unbelievably amazing... but I barely got to use them". HOWEVER, I have to admit, using this on the handful of foes unlucky enough to be in my way at the time, truly was the titles one moment of relief and gosh dang it I needed it!

Eternal Darkness absolutely loves to screw with you, and it's quite possible this is another rib by the devs, to offer out something so powerful at such an inopportune time, but goddammit I'll take what I can get.
