8 Reasons The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Should Be Bethesda's Next Remaster

3. The Shivering Isles

Speaking of DLC, bringing Oblivion next gen would not only bring one of the best games to new consoles, but one of the best DLC of all time. The Shivering Isles. Delving into the realm of the Mad-God himself and exploring the world of pure insanity in a massively worthwhile expansion was a treat.

Not only did it take the game to a whole new level, but it gave the game an area that was incredibly interesting. From the twisted and strange flora and fauna inhabiting the isles, to the quests that have you working with and against the mad-god in some respects, the DLC adds a wealth of content that rivals the main-game.

Having played through it, it has some of the more unique quests in a game full of some of the strangest quests in gaming. Considering accessing such an interesting DLC is so hard, having to jump through the hoops of finding a game of the year edition, something has to be done.

With the risk of sounding like a broken record, the DLC needs to be accessible in a far easier manner and a remaster is the way to do it. Not only that you could smack old Sheogorath’s face and get flung to death from the highest heights of the game. All in glorious next gen.
