8 Reasons Why We're Still Playing Dead Island
5. Weapon Modifications Glory, oh glory how modding weapons was fun in Dead Island. The hardest part seemed to be collecting all of the parts for your workbench experiments, but it was a price that needed to paid in full in order to paint the streets red with zombie parts and giblets. Dead Island offered gamers a vast array of modifications for every type of weapon that was included in the game. Players could add bleeding, critical, fire, impact, poison, and shock mods to melee weapons which drastically altered the effects with each swing. Yes, you could mod your firearm as well. Nothing quite like adding an explosive effect to your assault rifle. Weapon modifications help to provide an awesome reason to simply jump back into the game and create a full arsenal of makeshift death. My personal favorite would have to be the Impact Mod, or the Rending Claws mod, yeah the Rending Claws mod. You could call it the Wolverine Mod if you're feeling lucky bub'.
