8 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About God Of War

2. ...As Are The Most Enticing Realms

While it's already frustrating that the reboot teases characters and storylines that never actually have any effect on Kratos, it's made even worse because the realms associated with them, Asgard in particular, are always taunting you when using the bifrost.

Despite being locked off for the entire game, there's still the underlying expectation that you'll end up travelling to them at some point, with Baldur even attempting to send you directly to the front gates of Asgard near the climax.

If these other locations had only been mentioned but not actually featured as "selectable" on the map itself, it might not have been so disappointing to never travel there. It's a great tease for the future, but it doesn't make a player feel any less shortchanged that they weren't included in this title.
