Last year, it was announced that Skydance New Media - headed up by Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame - are producing a Star Wars single player, story-driven game.

This isn't the first time Hennig has been attached to a Star Wars project, however. Back in 2016, EA announced at E3 that Visceral Games were developing an Uncharted-style Star Wars title (pictured above), with Amy Hennig at the helm. That title was scheduled for a 2018 release, but ran into problem after problem, resulting in the game's cancellation in 2019.

Whilst that game - known by its codename of Project Ragtag - died a painful death, it seems like it wasn't in vain. It's rumoured that this new game could recycle some elements from Ragtag, such as the music composed by Kevin Kiner, who had previously scored music for The Clone Wars and Rebels TV shows.

When this new game was announced in April 2022, Hennig, the creative director of the title and President of Skydance New Media, enthused:

"I’ve often described how seeing Star Wars in 1977 essentially rewired my 12-year-old brain, shaping my creative life and future indelibly. I’m elated to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love."

With Amy Hennig as creative director, and as passionate as she is about the IP, hopefully fans can finally get the action-adventure game they crave.
