Though there has been no official news that a sequel for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is in the works, the game's developer Respawn has expressed plenty of interest in creating another sequel, with that almost certain to come to fruition.

The developer recently posted on LinkedIn for the position of a principle game writer, specifically for the Star Wars Jedi series. As well as this, Stig Asmussen - the director for both of the Jedi games - revealed that discussions for a trilogy were happening before the release of Fallen Order in 2019.

Speaking with IGN shortly before the launch of Survivor, Asmussen said he "always wanted to see this as a trilogy," before adding how they "had a pretty decent idea of timeframe where we wanted Survivor to take place, what the stakes were going to be, what the tone of the game was going to be, what Cal was going to be up against, and how the crew was going to factor into that. And there's ideas of what we could do beyond that as well."

So, all of the signs seem to be pointing in the right direction for the third and final instalment in the Star Wars Jedi series.
