There had been rumours of a new bounty hunter-centric Star Wars game for a while, and at last, those rumours have proven to be true. In June, the world was treated to the cinematic trailer of Star Wars: Outlaws, which followed a young bounty hunter, later revealed as Kay Ness, trying to survive in a galaxy oppressed by the Empire and run by the many crime syndicates.

Soon after, Ubisoft released the gameplay walkthrough trailer, which showcased the exciting features and story of the title. Developed by Massive Entertainment, Outlaws is an open-world offering which allows the player to track bounties from planet to planet and choose sides in a galaxy divided by the Galactic Civil War.

At San Diego Comic-Con earlier this month, Ubisoft treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look at the game.

Outlaws' Creative Director Julian Gerighty promised players an incredible experience, stating:

"The high-stakes scoundrel lifestyle and the open-world promise allowed us to create a game within Star Wars that had never been done before. Not just exploring cities, but also getting onto your speeder and race[ing] across the stunning wilderness. Then jump into your ship, the Trailblazer, and go on an incredible adventure."

If the title lives up to these promises, Star Wars: Outlaws - which should arrive in 2024 - could go down as one of the best Star Wars games ever made.
