8 Upcoming Video Game Remakes That SHOULD NOT EXIST

5. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Horizon zero dawn
Naughty Dog

Earlier this year, reports emerged that Sony is in the early stages of remaking the original Uncharted, which initially released for PS3 back in 2007.

And while the first entry into the hit action-adventure franchise certainly feels mechanically dated today, it’s still tough to feel much enthusiasm for a ground-up remake.

Given that the game had a nifty remaster as part of the The Nathan Drake Collection back in 2015, that feels sufficient enough preservation for a title which, ultimately, laid the framework for a host of bigger, better sequels.

Sure, Naughty Dog could enhance the original Uncharted into a meatier, more cinematic, less-janky affair on par with its successors, but y’know what’d be better than that? A brand new Uncharted game.

The 2015 remaster is “good enough,” basically, and giving Drake’s Fortune the Last of Us Part I treatment just feels like it’d eat up precious Naughty Dog resources which could be better spent on exciting new projects.
