8 Utterly PATHETIC Video Game Weapons (We Can't Stop Using)
3. Blunderbuss - Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare
The Blunderbuss is such an obvious joke weapon in Red Dead Redemption’s Undead Nightmare expansion that even John Marston himself takes the piss out of it when the vendor offers it to him.
And you certainly can’t blame Marston for dismissing it as a dusty relic from the previous century, given their legendarily poor range and seriously disadvantageous reload time, both of which are also true of this in-game version.
But the Blunderbuss does offer some serious stopping power, enough that if you fire it at a zombie at close range, it’ll immediately explode them into a crimson fountain.
And really, do you need any other reason to use the thing? It’s a huge pain if you miss or get overwhelmed by the undead horde, but when your aim is true and you’re facing only moderate resistance, it’s honestly tough to put down.
Sadly the Blunderbuss can’t be used in the main, sans-zombie game, though, because that’d apparently just be too much fun.
