8 Video Game Achievements Made IMPOSSIBLE By RNG
6. Messiah - Outlast 2
If you're ever to try undertaking the "Messiah" achievement run on Outlast 2, then you might, after repeatedly being stabbed, grabbed, and ground into dust by one of the many, many enemies present in the game, why this 'cheev is called "Messiah" and not "Pariah" as you're going to !*$% well feel like one at the end of things.
Everything wants you dead, even inanimate objects get in on the action, and thanks to the requirements being to complete the game on the hardest setting, in one run with no checkpoints and not using the night vision on your camera, this is one of the most brutal runs going in gaming.
Things get especially spicy when you realize that some of the enemy placement and boss patterns are down to random chance, meaning you might well waste two hours getting back to where you died before only for enemies to react completely differently!
With many other "Ultra Nightmare" runs at least you know what enemies are going to spawn and where and so it's down to your skills and perseverance.
Here though? You could be taken out by an unseen stalker or round a corner and walk into a one-hit-kill boss. Good times.
