When porting Legend of Zelda classic Ocarina of Time to the 3DS, development team Grezzo was met with a difficult conundrum.

Many fans of the game were well aware of several game-breaking bugs and glitches in the game, and several members of the development team had fond memories of using these bugs in the original title.

So when it came time to port the game, Grezzo intentionally left several of these bugs in the game out of a sense of nostalgia. Grezzo programmer Shun Moriya was quoted saying "If something simply could not be allowed to stand, we begrudgingly fixed it".

There are dozens of these examples, far too many to list, but some classic ones fans might remember are the Swordless Link glitch and the Epona Items glitch. The Swordless Link glitch is mostly dumb fun, allowing you to play around with Link with no weapon equipped.

Using this glitch also allows you to use items on Epona, with some weird effects. For instance, if you use the ocarina on Epona with this bug activated the game will glitch out and the camera perspective will break, allowing you to move Epona around like she's some kind of remote-controlled robo-horse.
