If there was one thing that your ma likely told you as she handed you your packed lunch for the day before school it's this

"Don't pull girls' hair to get their attention. It's 2023 you little simp and also DON'T TRUST THE DEVIL IF HE OFFERS YOU A DEAL OK?"

So of course when Mephisto from the outstanding but unfortunately underperforming Marvel's Midnight Suns rocks up, your STRANGER DANGER alarm better be going off the moment you see his bastard red bastard face. I mean he's quite literally the Devil of Marvel Comics so you instantly know, with every fibre of your skintight super suit not to trust him as far as you can throw him.

Actually, that expression doesn't really work seeing as you're dealing with super strong heroes that could launch a bus to the moon, but you get the idea, he's a double-crosser through and through.

Making deals that routinely screw over superheroes is his absolute MO and unfortunately, we get to witness this firsthand within the titles Redemption DLC, in which Spider-Man agrees to help Mephisto rid the world of Vampyrs (with a Y) in order to save his buddy Eddy who has given himself a bit of a dicky tummy gorging on curdled blood after going a little bit mad. Now at first, it seems like a win-win, you get a powerful new ally in the form of Venom and we get to smash in the faces of those looking to murder innocents.

However as you might expect, all is not what it seems and a painfully obvious negotiation twist is added late into the game. Poor old Peter, fooled by the devil once shame on me, fooled by the devil twice shame on....well me again BECAUSE YOU SHOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THE ONE MORE DAY COMIC ARC!
