8 Video Game Developers Who Totally Sold Out

5. EA

Fallout bethesda
DICE

I hold very little love for EA, and I think it's clear why. Each and every title they've had a hand in has been rife with microtransactions and courted controversy for selling out in monstrously despicable ways.

However the question must be asked, "Can you actually sell out if you're selling other people's ideas?" as EA really doesn't possess the capacity to lose artistic integrity on their own projects seeing as they simply buy other developers and then butcher their babies in front of them.

Take Dungeon Keeper for example, which to many will be one of the quintessential strategy games of the 90's. This was absolutely destroyed by EA who made the game a series of paywalls with piss poor gameplay barely stitching them together.

Anthem is another perfect example of EA buying up a developer and then turning them into the sellouts in the public eye by demanding their needs be met. Lootboxes, broken promises, and a shoehorning in of every single action-adventure trope stripped away the uniqueness of this title and the goodwill from Bioware.

EA is a predator, and it is forever hungry.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
