So, if EA is a predator, stalking smaller developers and picking its teeth clean with the bones, then Gearbox is a Vulture, swooping in on desperate studios in order to take projects off their hands, slap their logo all over the shop, and then present it to the public as their own offering.

The story of Duke Nukem Forever is as infamous as it is utterly depressing and at the helm of it all was Randy "I swear that's not my pornography it's just a hard drive full of magic tricks" Pitchford, who plastered his face all over the promotion for the game.

Making huge statements about how his team had worked diligently to make sure justice was done to this much beloved and much-requested game, the actual truth was somewhere along the lines of the game being 95% finished and Gearbox basically taking out more than they added.

In fact, according to sources, the only content that was implemented by Gearbox were things to make it appeal to a wider audience and changes to the comedy in order to make sure it hit that "Frat Boy" demographic they were itching for.

Sad times.
