6. Absolutely Everything - Titan Souls

Whereas some difficulty modes in video games present offensive levels of challenge to players under the guise of "one hit will kill you outright", Titan Souls scoffs at this formula, instead adopting this as its VANILLA EXPERIENCE.

That's right everything in this game, from enemies, bosses, and of course, YOU will die in just one hit.

Now on paper, this seems like it could be an absolute breeze right? Just be quick on the draw and spam projectiles and swipes yeah? Well, that would work in principle had Titan Souls not also added in the wrinkle that you only have one arrow to hand which must be collected each and every time you fire it.

This means that alongside the regular pressure from enemy fire and placement, you also need to make sure you've got the aim of Robin Hood in order to overcome the odds. Worst still, you've also got to account for where your arrow will land, meaning that retrieving it has to be mapped out far in advance lest you be left with a minefield of enemies to run through.

It's a wonderful mechanic that turns even basic encounters into deadly puzzles that punish careless fire and forget approaches.
