8 Video Game Secrets That ONLY Appear On Xmas Day

4. Shenmue - Street Santa!

If there's one thing you can say about the cult classic Dreamcast deep diver that is Shenmue, it's that it takes intricate details very, very seriously.

From the tiny gatcha models you can collect to the residents actually operating independently, abiding by their own schedules, to the fact that the game's designers actually recorded the weather of the year the games set and mapped out each day identically, it's easy to get lost in the minutia of this game.

And of course, the title is no slouch when it comes to adding in a bit of flavour for Special Holiday Events, and whether or not you've been a good or bad boy, you can find a rosy-nosed Street Santa walking around offering up Christmas cheer wherever he can.

It's a lovely touch, and makes it all the funnier when Ryo goes completely...well Shenmue...and bypasses his pleasantries to ask about sailors who work down the docks. Evil doesn't take Christmas off and neither does the young martial artist it seems.
