8 Video Game Secrets That Were A Waste Of Time
6. Prowler's Profit - Skyrim
Seeing as Skyrim has more quests than I've had hot dinners for two for one, you're bound to find a few that don't quite live up to the rest, and the Prowlers Profit secret that you unlock for completing No Stone Unturned is about as dead as they come.
What makes No Stone Unturned so aggravating isn't so much that it's a lengthy quest, it's just one that had so much potential to be brilliant yet utterly bailed in execution, as, after all, you're tracking down artifacts that link you to the events of Daggerfall and are hidden around the world in areas that are usually packed with enemies and excitement.
This should be cool, but alas 'twas not.
The reasons for this are multitude, for one the map is larger than American healthcare bills and full of equal measures of bodily harm so it's gonna take a long while to hunt them all down, secondly, the gems don't actually lead to anything nor can you even wear the epic headpiece they're put into at the end of the quest, and finally the reward you do get, "The Prowlers Profit" buff, absolutely sucks.
This is because the buff increases the chances of finding gems on bodies, which sounds great until you realize that as you've just gone around the entire map hunting for these gems you'll be rich enough, and have the chance to find gems in the first place increases along with your level and doesn't stack with The Prowlers Profit meaning if you're a high enough level you won't notice a change at all. Sick.
