8 Video Games That Punish You For Doing NOTHING!
5. Batman: Arkham City (2011)
One of the ways in which Batman: Arkham City built upon the series' critically lauded first instalment, Arkham Asylum, was by letting you play as Catwoman in her own standalone story arc, interwoven with the game's main plot.
During these sections, Catwoman is on a mission to retrieve her stolen possessions from Two-Face - and rob him while she's at it for good measure.
Once she reaches the vault, the player is given the option to leave Arkham City with the wad of cash you've just picked up, or abandon it and head back in to save Batman.
You should know that the right thing to do here is to run to Bruce's aid, but if you choose to go, "oh well", and saunter out of the door, an early ending sequence of the game will begin to play.
In it, Oracle cries out for help over the radio, telling of her father's death and presumably Batman's too. The game then literally rewinds to the moment before you made your decision, as if to say, "nope, you've done it wrong, get off your ass and go help Batman."
Maybe next time you'll think before trying to take the easy way out.
