4. Sonic CD (1993)

Sonic the Hedgehog, with his trademark slogan, "Gotta go fast", isn't particularly known for his patience. And, in 1993's Sonic CD, if you happen to try said patience, the Blue Blur is not going to beat about the bush letting you know it.

With speed and momentum being the core focus of the Sonic games, is simply doesn't make sense to...not do that.

Nevertheless, it can happen, if you've left the room and forgot to pause or just got distracted by a sneezing cat on your laptop.

Sonic's foot tapping is a trademark characteristic, and whenever you're not looping the loop or spin-dashing through conga lines of robots, he'll turn to you with his hands on his hips and a disgruntled look on his face.

In Sonic CD, however, this attitude goes one further, as not touching the controller for three minutes results in Sonic exclaiming, "I'm outta here!", and jumping off the edge of the screen.

Not only is the end of the level, it's also an instant game over, making you start the entire game again. And all because you couldn't resist the call of nature for another three measly minutes.
