8 Video Games That Reward You For Doing Nothing

2. Glaring Silently - Tyranny

Telltale finishing TWD

Now for those not in the know, Tyranny the video game is all about being the best worst person you can be, and goes out of it's way to reward players for reveling in morally dubious choices.

However let's face facts, being evil sure is bloody stressful, at least it was for me, as making said choices usually came with a wash of fear sweat. After all, if I was so willing to stab others in the back, sell grannies down the river and practice my rugby conversions with puppies, wouldn't that imply that there was someone waiting in the wings to do the same to me and my puppies?

Therefore it was with a sigh of relief that the devs decided to put in the now much memed option of "Glaring Silently", after all it's the first thing they teach you in pay negotiations, always let the other person speak first, as it's likely your silence will unnerve them enough to reveal their hand.

"Soooo what should we do with these captured soldiers?"

*Glares Silently*

"You....want me to kill them?"

*Glares SIlently*

"Right....ok...I'll go do that then"

See what just happened there? You didn't say a word and yet the outcome was pretty bloody horrible! And that's what Tyranny is! Being horrible!

And now you can do so without saying a word, which actually carries a lot of hidden rewards in game. For example, by choosing this option, not only does it get progressively more and more hilarious as characters question why you're not talking, but also means you don't piss people off as it counts as the games "neutral" option, and come the late game keeping those underneath you on your side and questioning why you refuse to speak creates for a brilliant moment of ruling through fear and confusion!
