8 Video Games That Utterly Failed To Live Up To The Hype

6. Any Of The Fable Games

It's a shame Peter Molyneux often likes to overpromise QUITE a lot when it comes to his titles, and his whirlwind of buzzwords, industry-changing mechanics, and heady design features usually sees him over-egging the product. Sadly, this leaves him with ovum on his mug when it comes to the final deliverable.

Molyneux's Fable games are brilliant, there's no doubt about that, but his relentless tirade of promises meant that none of them even had a hope of coming close to reflecting his intentions and as such left some corners of the fandom left desiring much more than what was offered.

Things obviously weren't helped by his strange tactic of denouncing the previous entries in the Fable Franchise in order to hype up the next installment, and he continues to be a hype man of the highest caliber (or lowest depending on how you look at it).
