8 Video Games That Would Work Perfectly As TV Shows
7. Assassin's Creed
Assassin’s Creed has already been made into a film of the same name in 2016 that received mixed reviews from critics, which also didn't do that great at the box office. A large criticism was that it was over plotted, which is understandable with the amount of information they needed to convey into the 140 minute run time. That such reason is why an Assassin's Creed TV series just makes so much more sense.
As we’ve seen in the games already, with the different settings in which the Assassins and Templars fight takes place, there are many varied points in history which can be jumped between. This makes for seemingly endless scenarios for what can be portrayed over multiple episodes and seasons.
Already established characters from the games can be blended with new protagonists created especially for the TV series. This would ensure that any connections already existing fans have with certain characters are retained while also bringing something new.
There have been reports that an anime series is in development which would be an interesting approach. The anime format means that budgetary limits with the production of sets wouldn't be a problem. However a live-action series should still be produced as the scale of what is possible with cinematic TV is at an all time high, and to see Assassin's Creed on that scale would show people that are only familiar with the film that Assassin's Creed's story and world can be produced well.
