8 Video Games With The WRONG Final Boss

Should've Been: Vaas

With Far Cry 3, the franchise was catapulted into the mainstream like never before.

Sure, the first game had wowed players the world over with its insane graphics, and gave PC players even more reason to stroke their Solid State Drives, and Far Cry 2 had received critical praise for days, but Far Cry 3 brought the action, it brought the visuals and most importantly it brought the relentlessly insane and ridiculously captivating Vaas.

With his face plastered all over the marketing, and with a brilliant use of the real-life actor in promotional segments, Vaas became a villain we wanted to take down and also out for a pint before any of us had even played the game, and when bolstered by his early actions pushed him to the top of our "going to have to murder with our bare hands" pile.

Therefore it was a moment of utter dismay when we ended up killing him not just in a Quick-Time Event but also midway through the game leaving Hoyt as the final boss to take down.

The narrative had posited Hoyt as the actual man in charge, but his lack of involvement in the early game suggested that Vaas would make a bid for control and become the final boss. Hell if that had been the case it'd have made for a brilliant conclusion to the game, and not just a battle we mostly yawned through.
