8 Video Games You Bought Just For A Mini-game

4. Special Events - FlatOut Franchise

Resident Evil 5
Bugbear Entertainment

For those of you not in the know, The Flatout video games are titles that champion one thing above all else.

Total and utter destruction.

Both the car your in and the very tracks themselves are blank canvases for you to smash headlong into, churning up dirt, trading paint, and acting as a good PSA for seatbelt use as you fling your driver through the windscreen over and over.

Now they're not the BEST games by any stretch of the imagination, but the mini-games on offer in the first title alone make it worth a look. Here the game throws all semblance of realism out of the window along with health and safety rules as you fire your driver down tracks in order to travel the furthest, or see if you can score a hole in one on a demented mini-golf game.

However, hands down the best mini-game of the bunch is the High Jump in which you scream down a ramp and then fire your driver up as high as you can. Watching the poor avatar T-pose their way to their deaths is morbidly hilarious, and yet I can't stop doing it. Fly my little friend. Fly.
