What is it with Parasite Eve games and Christmas Eve? Two out of the three games start on the day before Christmas. Any future games like this and it'll become a trope akin to a Detective getting one last dangerous job before they retire.

Anyhow, the last released entry in the Parasite Eve franchise landed on the Playstation Portable in 2010. The game, now being told in an episodic format, begins on Christmas Eve 2012 with monsters called Babels and Twisted wreaking havoc in New York City. Aya Brea returns once again as the protagonist, and this time has the ability to time travel using a new fancy piece of equipment called an Overdrive System.

Unlike the first Parasite Eve, this final instalment of the franchise does feature some more seasonal decorations and snow. It also has an optional Santa Soldier outfit for Aya to wear, which seems rather impractical to be fighting monsters with. The skirts so short she'll probably catch a cold!
