Does... does this game ever end? No?

GOOD. I'M HAVING THE BEST TIME!

Seriously, Hades is the game that keeps on giving, as with each successful run you make, and with each escape from Hell, you unlock more and more of the delicious narrative piece by piece.

You'd think that being drip-fed one or two lines of extra dialogue per run would cause mass burnout but thanks to the ever-shifting challenges imposed on you, as well as those you can impose on yourself, Hades develops an exceptional carrot and stick chase for the player.

Better still even when you think you've stitched up the narrative threads and gotten a certain Goddess to return to the netherworld, you've still got more things to see and do, namely throwing a monstrous party for all your godly friends! And speaking of friends, you've got relationships to develop and max out, some of which lead to yet more quest content.

In short, Hades is a paradox of the term "understanding" when it comes to its narrative, as it requires a tonne of investment to truly figure out the minutiae, but also as a game, we understand what this title is immediately, and that's that it's a !*$% masterpiece.
