8 Weirdest Enemies Cut From Video Games

2. Tramplin' Stu (Super Mario Sunshine)

Half Life Mr Friendly
Nintendo

Another axed enemy from a Nintendo-published game, Tramplin' Stu (also known as HinoKuri) was originally planned to appear in Super Mario Sunshine, but was removed for the final release.

However, the enemy's files still exist within the game, and it can still be encountered if you have the hacking know-how.

Tramplin' Stu looks like an enormous orange mushroom with legs, and has perhaps one of the weirdest superpowers in video game history: it can poop out smaller enemies. These tinier foes will then chase after Mario until they're squashed, or, alternatively, the plumber can defeat the main Tramplin' Stu itself - by spraying it with water - at which point, the excretion will stop.

Tramplin' Stu was even featured in some of the game's trailers, so it looks like it was cut quite late in the game. Why? Well, that's a mystery. Maybe it was because a monster that craps out other monsters is an absolutely horrifying concept.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
