9 Crucial Ways Microsoft Can Save The Xbox One At E3 2017

1. Secure The Rights To Remaster Beloved Third-Party Franchises

We've covered first-party games that could do with sequels and remakes (KOTOR 3... make it happen!), but there are a wealth of third-party franchises their publishers would happily hand over exclusivity rights on, for the sake of cashing in at retail.

Timesplitters, Legacy of Kain, Spyro the Dragon... titles/properties like Bloodborne, Spider-Man and Crash Bandicoot don't 'belong' to Sony, yet the company has worked out all manner of backroom deals to secure a place on PlayStation. There's no reason why Microsoft can't do the same with the aforementioned games (they certainly have the cash) and considering the sheer amount of properties that were cast by the wayside across the 2000s - all coming with fanbases and consumer interest built in - it's a no-brainer.

From Onimusha to Streets of Rage, if Microsoft are making a claim to represent gaming as a medium through backwards compatibility, starting with series names that make entire rooms of people sit up and take notice is the best place to start.
