9 Greatest Platform Games You’ve Never Played
5. Jazz Jackrabbit
System: PC
It is crazy to think that the same person who was the lead designer on Gears of War also developed Jazz Jackrabbit, (Its Cliff Bleszinski incase you didnt know.) This 1994 platformer pioneered the genre onto the PC scene. It essentially combined the level design and pace of Sonic the Hedgehog with the shooting of Mega Man and other shoot em ups. The futuristic soundtrack is also very underrated.
The success of Jazz Jackrabbit brought on the a sequel that did not find as much acclaim as the original. A third version was planned and eventually cancelled. Jazz did make his return in 2002 on the Game Boy Advance, but developer Game Titan made too many changes to Jazz's overall appearance which angered many fans.
