9 Image Changes That Totally Killed Your Favourite Video Game Characters

2. The Prince (Prince Of Persia 2008)

Depending on when you were born, there's a chance your first experience with Ubisoft over-sequelising something came with Assassin's Creed, but they actually buried another franchise just as it was getting off the ground, Prince of Persia.

Believe it or not, the first AC was actually intended to be a PoP spin-off, so popular was the latter for a number of years. In the end, Ubi decided to have their cake and reboot it too, completely redesigning PoP in 2008 with a cel-shaded look instead. Needless to say, the two couldn't coexist, and the public vehemently voted against this new hyper-coloured Prince, especially seeing as both Warrior Within and The Two Thrones featured a myopic show-gazing hero we'd actually grown far more accustomed to.

Goodnight, sweet prince. Though in today's industry climate, Ubisoft could probably do with trying this character out all over again.
