9 Lego Games We're Still Waiting For

6. Monster Fighters

Lego Monster Fighters

One of the only entries on this list that isn't a licensed property, Monster Fighters gets a nod because the concept is just too damn cool to ignore. Zombies, vampires, werewolves, swamp creatures, mummies, spooky castles and anything else you could throw into the classic horror category could and should be included. Classic movie monsters may be one of the only concepts that could stand on its own with a varied and interesting cast of characters that isn't specifically based on a modern franchise. Who wouldn't want to roam through Lego versions of every classic horror setting imaginable and fight (or befriend) all of the monsters we all grew up with. If they really wanted they could expand on this idea even further into a more general horror or monster idea and include Egyptian themed levels full of pyramids and mummies and all that fun stuff. Or they could go forward and include more 50's B-Movie themes such as UFOs or Pod People. Without the restrictions of an established franchise, the possibilities are even more open than usual for a game like this.

Jordan Schaeffer has many pan-nerdly interests. Said interests include but are not limited to: Comics, old horror movies, comics, video games, TV shows of a certain caliber, and comics. Ask him anything about The Venture Brothers. He is American, but is starting to get a sneaking suspicion that everyone else on WhatCulture! is British.
