9 Lego Games We're Still Waiting For

7. Time Travellers (Back to the Future?)Lego Delorean Back in the day, Lego made a line of kits known as 'Lego Time Travels' which was basically an excuse to throw all the pieces from all of their other time periods together in a big mash up of everything they had on offer at the time. Cowboy hats and pirate swords and suits of armor came packaged all together along with big set pieces representing the home base of their 'Time Cruisers'. A game based on this theme would be a great way to round up all of the generic, non-licensed sets that Lego has in production and throw them all together for a big crazy mess. The individual properties may not have the appeal of Star Wars or any of the other licensed titles, but what kid (or adult, really) doesn't like the idea of cowboys versus pirates versus ninjas versus knights and so on. Of course, time travel and Lego can't be brought up in the same conversation right now without mentioning the recent announcement of the Lego Delorean from Back to the Future. While they may not be going all out with this set, this would be a great chance to throw in some licensed muscle behind the idea. So what if Marty never went back and fought pirates and ninjas? The main plot of the movies wouldn't really be that great for a Lego game anyway, they should just throw it all in under their most recognizable time travel banner and have fun with whatever comes up.

Jordan Schaeffer has many pan-nerdly interests. Said interests include but are not limited to: Comics, old horror movies, comics, video games, TV shows of a certain caliber, and comics. Ask him anything about The Venture Brothers. He is American, but is starting to get a sneaking suspicion that everyone else on WhatCulture! is British.
