Fast reaching (or you could say achieving) it's cultural zenith, as well as being as the highest selling entertainment property of all time, you'd have to bury your head in the ground for months on end to get away from hearing about Grand Theft Auto these days. Even though it's a strange idea that such a defining title in our list of popular entertainment is labelled after a major crime, it's one of those things where if you come across people who "just don't like" GTA, they tend to be met with scrunched-up faces and confused looks. However with that being said, as we look to the next instalment in the series and analyse previous releases too, it's immediately obvious that there's a whole heap of issues with the mission types, characters and sometimes just the overall structure of the game, that's wearing very thin. Sure Rockstar Games are absolute geniuses and the world of GTA V is easily far more impressive than that of anything on the newer consoles, but at the same time is the very formula that creates these games just overcooked by this point? How many more 'drive here, shoot this' missions can we possibly do? It's a fact that besides the handful of heist missions and despite how much fun the game might be and how polished it clearly is, we're pretty much doing the same tasks we have been for over a decade now.
