9 Nintendo Switch Exclusives That Could Be Announced At E3
7. An F-Zero Reboot
Besides establishing a terrific fighting game formula that others have tried desperately to replicate since, Super Smash Bros. serves the dual purpose of being a cleverly disguised retirement home for those Nintendo characters that have long since been forgotten about or outgrown, just like poor Woody and Buzz.
Captain Falcon has found himself dumped in this category, his existence recognised because of Smash Bros. rather than the series that warranted his inclusion in the battle royale to begin with. The poor sod has the unenviable occupation of representing the entirety of the F-Zero series because Lord knows, Nintendo seemingly has no interest in revisiting his roots.
It's a tragedy, really, that the blistering speed of F-Zero's futuristic racers, which single-handedly inspired both the Wipeout and Daytona series', hasn't been seen in any notable form for over a decade, and that reality probably won't be changing anytime soon, either.
Imagine a current-gen outing that combined the visual sheen of Turn 10's Forza series with the creativity and imagination of Nintendo.
A man can dream, right?
