9 Reasons Why The Witcher 3 Is Better Than Skyrim

5. Deeper Combat

While on the surface Skyrim and The Witcher 3 both have similar combat systems, the latter is so much deeper than Bethesda's game could ever be.

Despite boiling down to similar hack-and-slash combat encounters, to really excel in CD Projekt Red's release you have to properly plan and think up different tactics depending on who you're fighting.

Not only are your two different swords designed for different groups of enemies, but certain monsters have specific strengths and weaknesses that need to be exploited if you want to make it out to the other side of a battle with them unscathed.

Throw in traps, potions, magic and levelling-up abilities, and The Witcher 3 has a depth to its combat that makes playing the game enjoyable long after you've slain your 300th Drowner.
