9 Reasons Why The Witcher 3 Is Better Than Skyrim
2. A Wider & More Inventive Range Of Enemies To Battle
Although Skyrim featured a wide array of enemies to fight, it sort of felt as though Bethesda just reeled off a series of fantasy-sounding names and made character models based on them.
And while The Witcher probably stole its cast of enemies from the same list, it at least added its own spin to them and made its monsters actually have a place in the world.
After a few hours you can start to gauge which enemies you can expect to find in which locations based on their features and habitat, adding a coherence to the world that was sometimes lost in Bethesda's hodgepodge approach to world design.
Also, the visual design of these enemies is just downright jaw-dropping. Watching a Griffin flying overhead for the first time is breathtaking, while walking into the wrong cave and being attacked by an elder vampire can be enough to warrant a change of trousers.
