9 Reasons You Shouldn't Buy A PS4 Pro
6. The Improved Controller Just Doesn't Wow
Along with the PS4 Pro, Sony has launched a brand new revision of the Dualshock 4 controller in every box. Could it have new, longer battery life? An option to shut off that enormous blue light? New sticks that are less prone to wear and tear?
Uhm... No, not really.
The new PS4 controller plays it far safer, simply adding a visual upgrade of a new light bar to the front of the touch pad. It's the exact same colour as the huge light on top of the PS4 controller, except now it's a little easier to see which controller is which.
Because that used to be hard. You know, with the enormous blinking blue light being so easy to miss.
Credit where credit's due, there's a small little revision under the hood that's worth touting; the new PS4 controller has slightly less input lag while it's plugged in via USB wire. Sure, that's great if you're playing something that requires frame-perfect reactions, like Street Fighter V, but if you're really the kind of person looking for a perfect fighting game controller, you're just going to buy a wired arcade stick, so it's a solution to a problem that didn't need solving.
