9 Reasons You're WRONG About Resident Evil 6

7. Shooting And Melee Feels Fantastic

At a glance, the gameplay for Resident Evil 6 doesn't look all that different from 4 and 5. You're still shooting zombies and monsters from a third-person perspective with the same weapons and items, but the sixth game introduces huge quality of life features that makes the combat far more intense, and the characters themselves far more versatile.

In games of old, you had to stop dead in your tracks if you wanted to shoot, or even reload. Resi 6, on the other hand, gives you a ridiculous amount of control over your character, allowing you to dive around the game world while shooting zombies like its John Woo's Sranglehold. In addition to this you can pull off ultra-cool quickhots with the tap of the trigger, and g*oddamn chokeslam monsters into the ground.

There's such a great sense of momentum to the action. It's totally balls to the wall in a way that, yes, kind of insults the slow, methodical tension the early titles were built around, but is undeniably awesome to play.
