9 Remakes That Fixed TERRIBLE Parts Of Video Games
4. Metroid Prime Remastered - A Much Better Control Scheme
Not only is 2023's Metroid Prime Remastered the best-looking game on the Switch, but it also established itself as arguably the best entry in one of Nintendo's most beloved franchises. Wanting to preserve a game that was, and still is, a classic, most of the Remastered changes were the typical graphical showcases, however, there was one tweak that completely flipped how gamers digested a playthrough.
Whilst the original game controlled fine, it was released on the GameCube before dual analogue sticks became an industry standard for FPS titles. It wasn't so much an issue back in the day, but going back and playing the original now makes for a painful adjustment.
Fortunately, one of the big changes coming with the remastered version was the customisable controls included by developers Retro. Players have the option of choosing between dual controls as well as classic for a more authentic experience, or even the option of motion controls, which we would be stunned if anyone actually opted for. But still, it's there!
This gives the game so much smoothness when it comes to how it feels, and actually gives it much more depth than before with able to experiment with and share their optimal setup.
