You could sense - even in that moment - the reflection of the Boss. It granted her a spectacular performance, driven home to perfection by the lovely Lori Alan. She created a truly three-dimensional character, sparked by a believable set of motivations. The Boss' defection in MGS3 is a prime example of how to accurately write a truly shocking betrayal.
