https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSCy4Bc0uMU Although interest in the genre has dwindled in recent years, music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band experienced explosive popularity less than a decade ago and brought a new definition of mastery to game controllers. Much the same is true for Dance Dance Revolution and, for different but still coordination-dependent reasons, even Dark Souls. That some brave soul was willing (and no-doubt struggled) to hybridize the two by somehow beating the latter in its entirety with controls mapped to a Guitar Hero guitar (see video above) compounds the fact that all those quick-time-events and rhythm games are no cakewalk, while simultaneously reminding us that smashing a button isn't exactly résumé-worthy. Did an angelic chorus ring out when you last opened your microwave? Have you ever put tears of happiness to the eyes of millions by ringing a doorbell? No? Then we can probably cross Button Master off the list of dream jobs.
A freelance games writer, you say? Typically battling his current RPG addiction and ceaseless perfectionism? A fan of horror but too big a sissy to play for more than a couple of hours? Spends far too much time on JRPGs and gets way too angry with card games?
Well that doesn't sound anything like me.
