9 Video Game Characters Who Would Make An Awesome Suicide Squad
6. Rick Flagg - Geralt (The Witcher)
Both characters share a strong sense of duty, but also of strange detachment. They are not swayed from tasks by their own personal opinions, doing what must be done regardless.
As many players discovered, holding conversations in The Witcher III was often more fun than the gameplay itself. And there was absolutely nothing wrong with the brilliant sword swinging mechanics, it’s just that the control we were given over Geralt’s responses made exploring the lore and the personalities of the villagers bloody good fun.
It may be unfair then, to lump him in with the utterly mirthless Rick Flagg. Some playthroughs will have created a wry Geralt, a romantic Geralt, but make no mistake; at his heart, Geralt’s true nature is to do the job, get paid, then leave. He is a Witcher, at the end of the day.
Geralt, like Flagg with Amanda Waller, is not above questioning whether this way is the right way. But they share a sense of honour that means they can never turn a job down.
Driven, highly skilled and occasionally ruthless, these two are a match made in heaven. Even if they wouldn’t be much fun on a double date.
