9 Video Game Enemies That Help You Defeat Them

2. Pretty Much Everything - Kirby

The entire Kirby franchise is built upon the mechanic of turning your enemies’ attacks against them. You are constantly absorbing enemy projectiles and spitting them back at them.

From animal enemies allowing you to dig through dirt, to laser attacks, beam attacks, bomb attacks, sleep, spark, fire, freeze, hammer, water, whip, tornado, and even a Yo-Yo weapon, the list of possibilities throughout the entire Kirby series is endless, with each game offering a plethora of options to absorb your enemies’ abilities and then use them to defeat them.

A notable mention goes to Miracle Matter, the penultimate boss of Kirby 64, and a very steep difficulty curve for peaceful Kirby fans. Miracle Matter uses your own abilities against you, which you can then use against him, and it becomes a confusing argument of who copied who first, and who even holds the copyright for these attacks in the first place.

Shout-out, also, to Meta Knight, who usually leaves a sword in his boss arena so that you may conveniently pick it up to use against him. Such a sweetie, that Meta.
