9 Video Game Hard Modes That Were WAY Too Easy

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a title that has conjured mixed emotions for many since its 2012 release.

On the one hand, you have an absolutely outstanding RPG set in an original world with a classic fantasy narrative; on the other, you have the game's studio declaring bankruptcy shortly after beginning work on a sequel, meaning that almost immediately after the games release, all hopes of a blossoming franchise were quickly killed.

The gameplay itself is fresh and fun, with a charmingly colourful world to explore filled with all manner of creatures to sink sword or spell into.

Upon starting your game, if you were to select the hardest difficulty, you'd soon find yourself checking the settings to make sure it hasn't somehow lowered itself. Yes, enemies do considerably more damage, but make use of the game's dodge and block mechanics and you'll barely need health potions at all.

The lack of challenge shouldn't take anything away from the experience that this beautiful game offers, though, and with THQ Nordic remaster Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning recently released, you'll be able to experience it all over again.
